Rajkot Customs and Central Excise Commissionerate came into existence on 01.09.1983 and was carved out from the then Ahmedabad Customs and Central Excise Commissionerate. Its jurisdiction consists of Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat State. A new Division i.e. Bhuj, Central Excise Division was carved out from the Jamnagar Central Excise Division consisting of three ranges. At present there are four Central Excise Divisions and One Service Tax Divisions in Rajkot Commissionerate.
